It appears that Phil Mickelson, current world number 2, maybe unable to to continue on in its cheduled debut on the 2008 PGA Tour at this week’s Buick Invitational. Currently, he is down in bed with a respiratory problem.
3-times winner at Torrey Pines Golf Club, Mickelson has been struggling with shortness of breath and fatigue since October accordingly to his manager T.R. Reinman.

Mickelson, a three-times major champion, won the Buick Invitational in 1993, 2000 and 2001.

The tournament starts on Thursday when world number one Tiger Woods will be bidding to clinch the title for a fourth year in a row.
